I. Purpose and Type

The 4-68 series centrifugal ventilators are used for general ventilation and air exchange, suitable for indoor ventilation in general factories and buildings. They can be used to both input and output gases. The conveyed gases should be air and other non-combustible, harmless to humans, and non-corrosive to steel materials. The gases must not contain viscous substances, with dust and hard particles not exceeding 150mg/m³, and the gas temperature must not exceed 80°C. For conveying corrosive gases with a certain concentration, anti-corrosion fans can be produced using FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) as the material.

The 4-68 series centrifugal ventilators can be manufactured in two types: right-handed rotation and left-handed rotation. When viewed from the motor side, if the impeller rotates clockwise, it is called a right-handed ventilator, denoted by "Right"; if the impeller rotates counterclockwise, it is called a left-handed ventilator, denoted by "Left". The outlet position of the ventilator is indicated by the angle of the casing outlet.

II. Structural Features

The 4-68 series centrifugal ventilators NO2.8-5 are mainly composed of impeller, casing, air inlet, and other components with directly connected motors; NO6.3-20, in addition to the above parts, also includes a transmission part, etc.

1. The impeller is composed of 12 backward-inclined airfoil blades, a curved front disc, and a flat rear disc, all made of steel plates. It has undergone dynamic and static balance correction, featuring good air performance, high efficiency, and stable operation.

2. The casing is made in two different types. The casing of NO2.8-12.5 is integrated and cannot be disassembled. The casings of NO16 and NO20 are made in a three-piece type: besides being divided into two halves along the middle horizontal plane, the upper half is further vertically divided into two halves along the center line, connected by bolts.

3. The air inlet is integrated, installed on the side of the ventilator, with a curve-shaped cross-section parallel to the axial direction, enabling gases to smoothly enter the impeller with minimal loss.

4. The transmission part is composed of a main shaft, bearing box, rolling bearings, pulley, or coupling, etc.
